Here at the Abundant Life Church we are committed to reaching out to our local communities. We have been given so much by God and our heart is to give that away and touch the lives of needy people across our city. We aim to equip them with the practical skills and wisdom they need to make better choices and build stronger lives, and through that to extend God's love to them.
We work with many different sections of the local community, working with needy families on local housing estates across Bradford, working girls in the red light district of the city and thousands of children in local schools through the youth ministry and the Chantelle Bleau Memorial Fund which teaches on volatile substance abuse. On campus we have regular meals for the homeless and help them get access to accommodation and training by networking with other local agencies.
Last year we touched the lives of around 65,000 of people in our city. This included driving 10,000 people to church, visiting 10,000 through our visitation teams, clothing 8,000 people, teaching 15,000 school children about the dangers of volatile substance abuse, feeding 12,000 people and many other activities.
The church currently has more than 170 ministries and around 40 of these are community action and outreach based. New ministries are constantly being launched as we empower people in our church to run with what God has given them a passion to do.
