Bradford has many nearby places of special interest that are worth visiting if you are in the area.

Shopping

Bradford city centre has a good range of high street clothes shop, but if you are looking for designer labels visit nearby Leeds which has many upmarket stores including Harvey Nicholls.

Lister Park

This beautiful Victorian park is a great environment for relaxing in the city. You could enjoy a stroll in its extensive grounds, go boating on its lake or visit the Cartwright Hall Museum to see its art collections.

National Museum of Photography, Film and Television

This museum has a great range of interactive displays and exhibitions that can enjoyed by the whole family and is also home to the IMAX cinema.

Saltaire

Saltaire is a unique Victorian village which is now a World Heritage Site. It was built in the 1800's by the former mill owner Sir Titus Salt. Salts Mill now houses an extensive art gallery, textile and bookshops plus a variety of eating places. You can also browse in the many boutiques on Saltaire High Street or take a stroll alongside the Bradford-Bingley canal.

Haworth

Haworth is the village where the world famous Bronte sisters, Emily, Anne and Charlotte wrote their classic books including Wuthering Heights and Jayne Ayre. Set in the rugged Yorkshire countryside, Haworth is a delightful old style village with a collection of quaint shops, eating places and second hand book stores.
