Bradford Regeneration

For many years Bradford has been a city known for poverty, unemployment and racial tension. But the city is now looking towards a bright future.

The regeneration of Bradford has begun with a massive redevelopment plan that will transform run down areas of the city centre. Work is already underway on a new multi-million pound shopping centre which will bring back many big name high street retailers to the city. A new urban park area will also be created which includes a lake in the city centre to improve the environment. The plans are set to attract major investment and revive the local economy by providing a range of new residential, leisure and business opportunities.

At Abundant Life we have a heart for our city and the people in it. We believe in its potential to be a great place to live and work, and are excited to see the changes that are taking place. The Urban Regeneration Company involved in the redevelopment have given it the slogan, ‘The Birth of a New City’. We want to see that become a reality, but understand that having a great city isn’t just about the buildings, true greatness comes from within people. We are committed to doing everything we can to keep reaching people and unlocking their incredible potential so that changed lives will help bring lasting change to both the physical and spiritual landscape of our city.
